The new surgical suite was relocated to an area of approximately 18,000 SF on the 4th floor of the Urban Tower, originally constructed in 1984, with partial use of the 4th floor A-Wing. The program includes 6 OR's and 1 cystoscopy Room (a decrease from the current 8 OR's and 1 cystoscopy room), along with a central clean core, required support space, and flex zones strategically located adjacent to several OR's. 

Central Sterile Supply will remain on the basement level of the D-Wing during the initial phase of surgical suite development, supporting a modified case cart system. Locker rooms and office areas are proposed for location in the A-Wing. Because of the limited space available on Urban 4, Stage I (PACU) and Stage I1 (Same Day Stay) recovery areas will remain in existing locations until the next phase of the facility master plan is implemented.
