Brian Stancavage
AIA, CDT
Senior Project Manager, Associate Principal Svigals + Partners, an FCA Company
Brian’s career path in design begins in his high school art class, where a teacher took notice of his keen eye for detail and suggested he enroll in classes for residential construction and electrical engineering. “He gave me my first copy of AutoCAD, and the rest is history,” says Brian, who spent that next full year sketching, designing and building his first model house.
A Connecticut native, Brian attended the University of Hartford where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in architectural engineering. He then started his professional career at Friar Associates in nearby Farmington, while staying on at University of Hartford to pursue his Master of Architecture. Upon receiving his degree, Brian was surprised on stage with the AIA School Medal for Excellence.
Though it took a few years for him to get here, Brian was thinking about Svigals+Partners even back in grad school after hearing about our commitment to integrated artwork. His attention to detail in construction documentation makes him a major asset to our project teams and clients, and his previous work developing an interoffice Revit execution plan makes him a practice asset as well. Brian’s portfolio includes multi-family, mixed-use, commercial, and education.
